The rules for using our reading companion app
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Syllaboo mobile application ("App") and related services provided by Syllaboo Inc. ("we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, downloading, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Syllaboo Inc.
You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian of the child who will use the App. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Children ages 5 to 10 may use the App only under a parent or legal guardian's account. Children do not create their own accounts and do not have login credentials.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts where we reasonably believe the account holder is not a parent or legal guardian, or where the account is being used in violation of these Terms.
You can create an account using your email address and password, or by using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may create one or more child profiles under your account. Each child profile requires only a first name and an avatar selection. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your child profiles.
You agree to notify us immediately at support@syllaboo.app if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.
You may delete your account at any time through the Parent Hub settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All associated data, including child profiles and reading history, will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Syllaboo is a reading companion app that helps children ages 5 to 10 practice reading aloud. The App:
The App is designed as a supplemental reading tool and is not a substitute for professional education, tutoring, or speech therapy.
Syllaboo offers a free tier with access to a limited number of stories and basic progress tracking. The optional Premium subscription unlocks the full story library, weekly reports, and difficulty leveling.
All subscriptions are purchased through Apple In-App Purchases and are subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
We may change subscription pricing from time to time. Any price change will take effect at the start of your next billing period after the change. We will notify you in advance of any price increase. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
If your Premium subscription expires or is cancelled, your account reverts to the free tier. Your reading progress, companion evolution, and all earned achievements are preserved. You simply lose access to Premium-only stories until you resubscribe.
